Freshii Warm Pockets Expand the Winter Menu
Freshii has rolled out a new seasonal menu addition aimed at customers looking for warmer, heartier options during the colder months. The quick-service restaurant chain has introduced three new handheld pockets, now available at participating locations across Canada for a limited time.
Freshii confirmed the launch on December 4, positioning the new pockets as flexible meal options that can be enjoyed on their own or paired with soups and bowls. Prices start at $8.99, depending on location.
Designed for colder weather dining
The new lineup includes Chipotle Steak, Chicken Pesto Cranberry, and Spicy BBQ Chicken pockets. Each item is wrapped in a whole wheat tortilla and served warm, reflecting a seasonal shift toward comfort-focused menu offerings.
According to the company, the pockets are intended to provide portability while still delivering the hearty flavours customers tend to seek during winter months.
“The pockets give our guests more choice at a time of year when people look for warm and hearty meals,” said Chris Cann, Brand Leader for Freshii. “They pair well with our soups or can accompany a bowl, which gives customers the flexibility to build a meal that suits their day.”
What’s inside the new pockets
The Chipotle Steak pocket features roasted steak with sautéed mushrooms, sharp cheddar, crispy fried onions, fresh green onions, and a creamy chipotle sauce.
The Chicken Pesto Cranberry pocket combines roasted chicken with basil pesto, dried cranberries, and melted aged cheddar.
The Spicy BBQ Chicken pocket includes roasted chicken paired with crisp bacon, aged cheddar, barbecue sauce, fresh cilantro, and pickled red onions.
Chef Jason Baker, Director of Culinary Innovation at Foodtastic, said the goal was to create menu items that feel both seasonal and versatile.
“We developed Freshii pockets to bring seasonal comfort to the menu,” Baker said. “Our goal was to create warm, flavourful combinations that work well on their own and even better as part of a meal during the winter months.”
Available for a limited time
The new handheld pockets are now available at participating Freshii locations nationwide. Customers can order them as a standalone item or as an add-on to existing menu offerings.
