Four Seasons Marks World Kindness Day by Putting Food at the Heart of Global Celebration

Toronto — Luxury hospitality leader Four Seasons is set to mark World Kindness Day on November 13 with a global initiative centered around food, charity, and community support. Known for its dedication to service and the Golden Rule, Four Seasons will extend its “Four Seasons for Good” program this holiday season with the theme “Food at the Heart,” inspiring kindness across its global properties while supporting local non-profits focused on hunger relief.

Through handcrafted pastries, limited-edition gâteaux, and special culinary experiences, Four Seasons properties worldwide will invite guests to join in a celebration of kindness with proceeds benefiting local charities. At Four Seasons Hotel Toronto, Executive Pastry Chef Kevin Levionnois has created the “Heartfelt Hazelnut Chocolate Gâteau,” with funds going to Toronto’s Second Harvest, a non-profit that addresses food waste and food insecurity. Other Four Seasons locations will also participate, offering signature gâteaux and dining experiences where each purchase contributes to similar local initiatives.

“We strive to build connections that extend beyond our properties, showcasing how even the smallest gestures can have a profound impact,” said Marc Speichert, Executive Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer at Four Seasons. He emphasized that kindness is the core of the Four Seasons experience, and that this season’s theme will help bring empathy and community support to the forefront.

Culinary Initiatives Supporting Local Causes

In addition to Toronto, Four Seasons hotels worldwide are offering unique gâteaux and dishes with a charitable impact. Four Seasons Hotel Ritz Lisbon will introduce the “Heartfelt Forest Gâteau,” while Four Seasons Resort Bali at Jimbaran Bay will feature the “Bliss Cocoa Raspberry Gâteau,” with proceeds aiding regional food support organizations. Four Seasons Hotel London at Park Lane is taking a community-centered approach through its StreetSmart campaign, inviting diners to donate towards fighting homelessness and food poverty.

In Mexico, Four Seasons Resort Tamarindo will support the local Tamarindo International School with proceeds from its packaged coffee sales. Across the globe, from Italy to Thailand, Four Seasons staff will also volunteer time and resources in hands-on efforts, such as preparing meals for students or donating specially crafted cakes to local charities.

Building a Legacy of Kindness

This global initiative builds on the success of Four Seasons’ 2023 World Kindness Day celebration, which raised over $350,000 for more than 50 charities worldwide. The “Four Seasons for Good” initiative aims to enhance the company’s longstanding efforts to address environmental and social issues. The program operates on two pillars—Planet, focusing on environmental impact, and People, focusing on social outreach—each supported by activities to engage communities and support the regions where Four Seasons operates.

With properties in 47 countries, Four Seasons has grown to be synonymous with world-class hospitality, offering over 600 restaurants, the Four Seasons Private Jet Experience, and upcoming Four Seasons Yachts, while consistently ranking among the top luxury brands globally. As the festive season approaches, the company invites all to join in spreading kindness, using hashtags #TasteofFS, #WorldKindnessDay, and #FourSeasonsforGood to amplify the message.
