Four Seasons Announces New Luxury Resort in Mykonos, Set to Open Summer 2025
Toronto — Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts, in collaboration with Blue Iris Investments S.A., a subsidiary of AGC Equity Partners, has unveiled plans for a new luxury resort in Mykonos, Greece. The highly anticipated Four Seasons Resort Mykonos will offer guests a lavish beachside retreat in Kalo Livadi Bay when it opens in summer 2025.
The resort will feature 94 rooms, suites, and villas across 60,324 square meters (approximately 649,322 square feet) of prime coastal land, presenting stunning views of the Aegean Sea. Designed in the traditional Cycladic architectural style, the resort will blend seamlessly with the natural surroundings, characterized by white cubic buildings, picturesque courtyards, and pathways that capture the island’s charm. Greek architect Nicos Valsamakis, known for his sophisticated designs, will oversee the project’s architecture, while interior design will be led by Wimberly Interiors.
A New Chapter in Greece’s Luxury Tourism
The development marks Four Seasons’ second property in Greece, complementing the existing Four Seasons Astir Palace Hotel in Athens. The choice of Mykonos is no coincidence, as the island is renowned for its pristine beaches, vibrant nightlife, and historic attractions. The resort’s General Manager, Ryan Grande, brings over 14 years of experience with Four Seasons to the new project, having previously worked at the company’s properties in Jackson Hole, Seattle, Vancouver, and Costa Rica.
Grande expressed his enthusiasm for leading the opening team, stating, “To be a part of this expansion in Greece is an honour. The beauty of Mykonos and the elegance of the Cycladic style make this a truly special project.”
Amenities and Experiences to Elevate the Guest Stay
Guests at Four Seasons Resort Mykonos can look forward to an array of amenities designed to elevate their experience, including a spa with treatment rooms, fitness facilities, and an infinity pool overlooking the sea. Dining options will range from a poolside Italian restaurant to a modern take on the traditional Mykonian Kafeneio, with concepts developed by the renowned Rockwell Group. The resort will also cater to event planners with versatile indoor and outdoor spaces for meetings, weddings, and other celebrations.
Those seeking adventure will find a variety of recreational activities, from boating excursions to water sports. The property’s design and amenities aim to immerse visitors in the Mediterranean landscape while emphasizing sustainable development practices to preserve the area’s natural beauty.
Investment Signals Confidence in Greece’s Tourism Growth
This project is AGC Equity Partners’ second investment in Greece, following the successful redevelopment of the Astir Palace Vouliagmeni peninsula in Athens. Walid Abu-Suud, CEO of AGC Equity Partners, noted, “Our decision to expand our investment portfolio in Greece and develop another landmark destination in Mykonos demonstrates our confidence in the country’s growth in high-end tourism. We are thrilled to collaborate with Four Seasons again.”
With Greece’s tourism industry experiencing steady growth, the new resort is expected to attract international visitors as well as local travelers, further solidifying the country’s reputation as a luxury destination.
The new Four Seasons Resort Mykonos will be accessible via ferry or a short flight from Athens, making it an ideal complement to the Four Seasons Astir Palace Hotel. The addition of the Mykonos property represents a significant step in Four Seasons’ global expansion, with more than 60 new projects currently in development.
