Euro 2024: Day 10 Recap

Switzerland 1 – Germany 1

Despite Germany’s early pressure, Switzerland took the lead near the half-hour mark with a goal from Ndoye, assisted by Remo Freuler. Germany nearly equalized before halftime through Antonio Rüdiger’s header. In the second half, Jamal Musiala and Toni Kroos were denied by Yann Sommer. Kai Havertz and Joshua Kimmich also came close, but it was substitute Füllkrug’s header from David Raum’s cross that salvaged a draw for Germany, maintaining their top spot in the group.

Scotland 0 – 1

Scotland squandered a crucial opportunity, falling to Hungary, the only team in the group yet to earn a point. A win would have guaranteed Scotland a spot in the next round. Despite controlling possession, Scotland failed to convert their chances, while Hungary, effective on the counter, secured victory with Kevin Csoboth’s last-minute goal. The match featured Hungary hitting the crossbar and Scotland’s Ché Adams nearly scoring, but Hungary’s late strike now offers them a chance to advance as one of the best third-placed teams.
