Estée Lauder Canada’s #BecauseOfMyAge Campaign Celebrates Women’s Achievements Across Generations
TORONTO – Estée Lauder Canada has unveiled its new campaign, #BecauseOfMyAge, dedicated to celebrating the individuality and accomplishments of women as they embrace aging. The campaign highlights four influential Canadian media personalities who share stories of confidence, strength, and personal milestones.
The campaign features celebrated journalist Lisa LaFlamme, known for her tenure as the chief anchor of CTV National News; television and social media personality Jennifer Valentyne, whose influence resonates with millions; Leslie Yip Boucher-Harris, editor-in-chief of eliteGen magazine and morning show host at Toronto’s A1 Chinese Radio; and Vânia Aguiar, an international model and journalist advocating for the inclusion of young people with intellectual disabilities and autism.
“Our incredible talent of women in our #BecauseOfMyAge campaign are redefining what it means to grow older by sharing their unique journeys and inspirations,” said Elodie Richard, Executive Director of Estée Lauder Canada. “These women embody the spirit of confidence that transcends age, celebrating beauty and strength at every stage of life.”
Sharalyn Orr, Executive Director of The Estée Lauder Companies’ Ageless Innovation Centre of Excellence, emphasized the importance of shifting perspectives on aging. “Women over 40 often hear backhanded compliments like ‘you look great for your age,’ which undermine their achievements,” said Orr. “Estée Lauder’s #BecauseOfMyAge turns that narrative around to celebrate all that women are because of their age.”
The campaign underscores the evolving role of women over 40 in society, with 50% of Canadians now aged 40 and older, according to Statistics Canada. “The 40-plus woman today is vibrant, influential, and far from slowing down,” Orr added.
Alongside personal stories, the campaign also showcases each woman’s daily skincare routines, featuring iconic products like the Advanced Night Repair Serum and Revitalizing Supreme+ Youth Power Crème. The campaign will be promoted on Estée Lauder Canada’s social media platforms, starting November 2, through a digital initiative aimed at reaching a wider audience.
Estée Lauder’s #BecauseOfMyAge campaign has already launched in major markets like the United Kingdom and the United States, with its Canadian edition set to inspire women nationwide. “By sharing these powerful narratives, Estée Lauder Canada encourages women everywhere to celebrate their own achievements and the inspiring stories of those around them,” Richard said.
