Dr. Jane Goodall to Host Final 2025 Canadian Appearances in Toronto and Ottawa

Legendary ethologist returns to Canada for two exclusive September events supporting youth and Indigenous-led climate action.

TORONTO –  The Jane Goodall Institute of Canada has officially announced the final Canadian appearances of its iconic founder, Dr. Jane Goodall, for 2025. The world-renowned ethologist and United Nations Messenger of Peace will visit Toronto and Ottawa this September for two rare, in-person events.

Titled “An Evening with Jane Goodall,” the events promise to be intimate and uplifting experiences offering audiences a chance to hear directly from one of the world’s most inspiring environmental voices.

Dr. Goodall will take the stage at Meridian Hall in Toronto on Wednesday, September 3rd, followed by a second event at Meridian Theatres @ Centrepointe in Ottawa on Saturday, September 6th, both beginning at 7:00 PM ET.

Tickets are now available at JaneGoodall.ca/Events.

“With her trademark humour, optimism, and warmth, Dr. Goodall will explore the profound connections between animals, people, and the environment,” the Institute stated.

These appearances will directly support the Jane Goodall Institute of Canada’s work, which includes empowering youth and Indigenous communities to lead local conservation efforts through the Roots & Shoots program. The initiative currently engages over 12,000 young people and positively impacts more than 80,000 community members nationwide.

The Toronto and Ottawa events are being presented in partnership with G Adventures, a Canadian-founded adventure travel company that also partners with the Institute on the Jane Goodall Collection of Tours—a global set of wildlife-focused travel experiences aligned with animal welfare policies.

Dr. Goodall first rose to global prominence through her pioneering studies of wild chimpanzees in Tanzania’s Gombe Stream National Park. Today, she continues to inspire international action through her community-led approach to conservation, environmental education, and science-based advocacy.

“We strive to inspire hope and encourage everyone to embrace their power to make a difference,” says the Institute.

With these September events marking her final public appearances in Canada this year, audiences in Toronto and Ottawa are encouraged to reserve tickets early to be part of what promises to be an unforgettable evening with a true global icon.
