Doug Ford Sworn In as MPP for Etobicoke North

TORONTO – Ontario Premier Doug Ford has been officially sworn in as the Member of Provincial Parliament (MPP) for Etobicoke North following his re-election.

Ford, who has represented the riding since 2018, reaffirmed his commitment to the community, thanking constituents for their continued support.

“This morning, I was honoured to be sworn in as the MPP for Etobicoke North,” Ford posted on social media. “Thank you to the people of our great riding for once again putting your trust in me to fight for our community and protect our jobs, businesses and families.”

Ford, who also serves as Ontario’s Premier and leader of the Progressive Conservative Party, has been at the forefront of the province’s policies on infrastructure, healthcare, and economic development. His re-election secures his position in the Ontario Legislature as he continues to lead the government.

Etobicoke North has remained a stronghold for Ford, with his political career deeply rooted in the region. His late brother, former Toronto Mayor Rob Ford, previously represented the area at the municipal level.

As Ford begins another term, all eyes will be on his government’s handling of key issues, including housing affordability, public transit expansion, and healthcare system improvements.
