Denny’s Canada Continues Sweet Support for Local Communities
TORONTO — In a heartwarming display of community spirit, businesses in the Greater Toronto Area are rallying together to support the health and well-being of local youth. Leading the charge is Denny’s Canada, in collaboration with their parent company Northland Properties, as they launch a fundraising campaign in partnership with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Canada (BBBS).
From June 11th to 25th, Denny’s Canada locations across the GTA will donate $2 from every purchase of their popular Berry Stuffed French Toast Slam to BBBS Canada. This initiative, now in its third year, aims to provide children and youth with opportunities to realize their full potential.
Big Brothers Big Sisters of Canada, a venerable organization with roots dating back to 1912, focuses on empowering young people facing societal barriers and adversities. With over 1,100 communities served by 91 member agencies nationwide, BBBS Canada boasts a network of more than 15,900 volunteers mentoring over 26,400 children and young people annually. Through carefully matched mentorship relationships, BBBS Canada ensures that each interaction nurtures growth and resilience in the face of life’s challenges.
Deborah Gagnon, President & Chief Operating Officer of Denny’s Canada, expressed enthusiasm for the partnership, stating, “Giving back to our communities is an intrinsic part of the culture at Denny’s. We are thrilled to partner with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Canada to support youth across the country. We’re grateful to our team members and guests for their ongoing collaboration on these important events.”
This collaboration exemplifies the enduring commitment of Denny’s Canada and Northland Properties to fostering connections and making a positive impact in the communities they serve. By engaging with local and national charities, Denny’s Canada has upheld a tradition of philanthropy for over 70 years, recognizing that businesses and communities flourish when united in purpose.
As Torontonians patronize their local Denny’s locations to enjoy a delicious meal, they can take pride in knowing that their support extends beyond their plates, directly benefiting the health and well-being of the city’s youth. Through initiatives like this, the Greater Toronto Area continues to demonstrate its unwavering dedication to nurturing future generations and building a stronger, more vibrant community for all.
