Corus Entertainment Unveils Fall Lineup with Star-Studded Premieres and Hallmark Favorites
TORONTO — Corus Entertainment has revealed the fall premiere dates for its flagship drama networks, Showcase and W Network, promising a season packed with star-studded series, gripping thrillers, and the return of beloved Hallmark Channel movies. The networks, which hold the exclusive rights to Peacock Original content in English Canada, are set to deliver a diverse array of programming that will be available on both traditional TV and streaming via STACKTV.
Showcase Brings Hollywood to Canadian Living Rooms
The Showcase fall lineup kicks off on Sunday, September 8 at 9 p.m. ET with the Canadian debut of the limited series Fight Night: The Million Dollar Heist. The show, featuring Hollywood heavyweights Kevin Hart, Samuel L. Jackson, Taraji P. Henson, Don Cheadle, and Terrence Howard, is based on the real-life events surrounding an armed robbery on the night of Muhammad Ali’s legendary 1970 comeback fight. The series, inspired by the iHeart true-crime podcast, delves into how the heist reshaped Atlanta and turned it into the “Black Mecca.”
The network continues to offer fresh content with Mr. Throwback, a new mockumentary-style comedy starring NBA legend Stephen Curry and actor Adam Pally, premiering on Thursday, September 12 at 9 p.m. ET. Following at 9:30 p.m. is Mr. Bigstuff, a dark comedy from Sky Original that explores family dysfunction, fragile masculinity, and suburban chaos.
Horror fans will be thrilled with Hysteria!, a new pop-horror thriller set during the 1980s “Satanic Panic,” premiering Tuesday, October 22 at 9 p.m. ET. Rounding out the lineup is The Day of the Jackal, a gripping cat-and-mouse thriller starring Academy Award-winner Eddie Redmayne and BAFTA Award-winner Lashana Lynch, premiering Sunday, November 10 at 9 p.m. ET.
In addition, the third season of Bel-Air, a modern reimagining of the iconic ’90s sitcom The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, will continue on Mondays at 9 p.m. ET.
