Corus Entertainment Announces New Baking Competition Series Filming in Toronto

TORONTO – Corus Entertainment is turning up the heat in the kitchen with two new seasonal baking competitions set to premiere on Flavour Network this fall. Halloween Bakeshop and Holiday Bakeshop, both produced in Toronto, will feature eight skilled bakers competing for a grand prize of $25,000, with actress and comedian Lauren Ash as the host.

Each seven-episode series will showcase bakers pushing their creative and technical limits through weekly challenges featuring unpredictable twists. Judges include celebrated Filipino-Canadian chef Jordan Andino (Cook At All Costs, Dinner Budget Showdown) and James Beard-nominated baker Kareem “Mr. Bake” Queeman.

Rachel Nelson, Vice President of Original Programming at Corus Studios, emphasized the company’s focus on homegrown talent: “Corus Entertainment is thrilled to announce Halloween Bakeshop and Holiday Bakeshop, two new Canadian Original series with showstopping competition and a distinctly Canadian flare.”

The shows are produced by Nikki Ray Media Agency in association with Corus Studios and will be available on Flavour Network and streaming on STACKTV.

More details, including premiere dates, will be announced in the coming months.
