City of Toronto to Launch New, Modernized System for Recreation and Cultural Program Registration
Toronto, ON — The City of Toronto is set to unveil a new and improved registration and booking system for its recreation and cultural programs this November. The modern platform will streamline the process for residents to register for recreational activities and book spaces at city-owned venues, including indoor ice rinks, cultural centres, and sports fields.
This new system, designed to offer a more mobile-responsive and user-friendly experience, will be available to both residents and community organizations. It aims to simplify access to programs and rental spaces, providing enhanced service quality across the city.

Preparing for the Switch: Creating a New Account
As the launch of the system approaches, Toronto residents will be required to create new accounts in November to continue accessing recreation programs and facility bookings. The City is rolling out multiple resources, including online reference guides and in-person and virtual sessions, to help users transition smoothly.
Existing users are encouraged to log in to the current system, eFun (https://efun.toronto.ca), to retrieve any essential documents—such as past receipts for tax purposes—before the platform is discontinued on October 31, 2024.
Information Sessions: Transitioning to the New System
To guide residents through the new system, the City will host a series of information sessions starting Tuesday, October 15. These sessions will feature demonstrations of the new platform and offer opportunities to ask questions and receive personalized support. The upcoming sessions are scheduled as follows:
- Tuesday, October 15, 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at North York Civic Centre Council Chambers, 5100 Yonge St.
- Thursday, October 17, 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at Etobicoke Olympium Olympic Lounge, 590 Rathburn Rd.
- Monday, October 21, 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at Metro Hall Rotunda, 55 John St.
- Tuesday, October 22, 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at Scarborough Civic Centre Council Chambers, 150 Borough Dr.
Virtual information sessions will also be offered later, with dates to be announced. Anyone who plans to participate in a recreation or cultural program, rent a space, or acquire a membership is encouraged to visit the City’s webpage (www.toronto.ca/OnlineReg) for further details.

As the largest city in Canada and the fourth largest in North America, Toronto continues to lead in technology, finance, culture, and climate action. The city’s diverse population of over three million residents plays a key role in its growth as a global leader.
