City of Toronto Opens Applications for 2025 Women4ClimateTO Mentorship Program to Support Future Climate Leaders
Toronto, ON – The City of Toronto has launched applications for the fifth cohort of its Women4ClimateTO mentorship program, aimed at empowering local women advancing climate-related initiatives. The program offers six months of mentoring, networking, and collaboration opportunities to help participants scale their projects.
Women4ClimateTO, established by Toronto’s Environment and Climate Division, partners female climate leaders with mentors from the private sector, public agencies, and social organizations. Through these partnerships, mentors share valuable skills and knowledge with mentees, supporting innovative solutions to address the climate crisis.

This year, up to 12 participants will be chosen, with program highlights including a pitch competition where three finalists will earn awards totaling $30,000 to further their projects.
To qualify, applicants must identify as women, be 18 or older, and live, study, or work in Toronto. They must also have an established climate-focused project or start-up business that aligns with the City’s TransformTO Climate Action Strategy or Resilience Strategy. Indigenous, Black, and equity-deserving women, as well as those with disabilities, are encouraged to apply.
