City of Toronto Launches Comprehensive CampTO Summer Program Lineup

TORONTO – The City of Toronto has unveiled its full lineup of CampTO summer programs, offering children and youth aged four to 16 a diverse range of activities across the city. Families can now view the extensive program list and start preparing for registration, which begins at 7 a.m. on Wednesday, February 5.

CampTO will run from early July to late August, providing traditional day camps and specialized activities like sports, arts, nature exploration, drama, dance, and science. With more than 30 types of programs available at over 140 locations, CampTO is designed to keep participants active, engaged, and building lasting friendships throughout the summer.

For those seeking specialized experiences, the City continues to offer CampTO Plus at community centres and Toronto History Museum sites. These camps focus on areas such as circus, creative writing, magic, and French. Adapted and inclusive programs are also available for children and youth with special needs or disabilities, ensuring opportunities for all.

Counsellor-In-Training Opportunities

Teens aged 13 to 16 can also explore the Counsellor-In-Training (CIT) program, which offers an introduction to camp counselling. Participants will learn program planning, camper engagement, and gain supervised, hands-on experience during a summer camp placement.

Preparing for Registration

With a new registration system launched last November, the City encourages residents to set up accounts in advance. Unlike the previous system, new accounts require an email and password, as family and client numbers are no longer in use.

Residents can create accounts, explore available programs, and build wish lists to streamline the registration process. Online resources, including tutorial videos and step-by-step instructions, are available on the City’s Online Registration and Booking page.

Additionally, in-person help sessions and printed how-to guides are available at community centres throughout January.

Registration Support

On February 5, residents can register online, by phone, or in person at one of ten designated community centres. These locations, including Centennial Recreation Centre, Regent Park Community Centre, and Malvern Community Recreation Centre, will offer registration assistance from 7 a.m. to noon.

The City’s call centre is also extending its hours to assist with registration preparation on Tuesday, February 4, and during registration day.

Accessibility and Financial Assistance

Toronto’s Welcome Policy offers a recreation fee subsidy to eligible residents, including those receiving Ontario Works. Families are encouraged to activate their Welcome Policy accounts in advance to use their credit for CampTO programs.

For more information about CampTO, the new registration system, or financial assistance options, visit the City’s CampTO webpage.

A Summer of Opportunities

With its inclusive approach and broad program offerings, CampTO aims to ensure that children and youth across Toronto have a safe, active, and enriching summer. Residents are encouraged to plan early and secure their spots in the City’s popular summer camps.
