Circle K Launches “Hero Day” to Support Ontario’s Children’s Hospitals

Customers can turn everyday purchases into acts of heroism on October 16

TORONTO — Convenience retailer Circle K is inviting Ontarians to make a difference through their everyday purchases during its inaugural “Hero Day” on Thursday, October 16, 2025. The province-wide initiative will see 100% of gross proceeds from select product sales donated to children’s hospitals and foundations across Ontario, including SickKids Foundation, CHEO Foundation, Children’s Health Foundation (London), and MacKids.

Running from 12:00 a.m. to 11:59 p.m. EST, Hero Day transforms convenience store purchases into meaningful contributions for children and families in need.

“At Circle K, we believe in being a good neighbour and making a positive impact in the communities we serve,” said Steve Pitts, Vice President of Operations for Central Canada Division at Circle K Canada. “Hero Day is a fantastic opportunity for our customers to join us in supporting the incredible work of Ontario’s children’s hospitals. By simply purchasing a participating item, customers become heroes for children, helping to fund critical research, compassionate care, and innovative treatments that shape the future of pediatric health.”

Making Every Purchase Count

On October 16, customers at participating Circle K locations across Ontario can support Hero Day by purchasing the following items:

  • 500 ml Circle K Water

  • 460 ml Bfit

  • 225 g GCMC 4 Mini Pepperoni Sticks

  • 46 g Reese’s Singles

All proceeds from these products will go directly toward helping children receive life-saving treatments, supporting hospital programs, and advancing pediatric research.

Participating stores will feature Hero Day signage encouraging customers to take part in the initiative.

Customers can locate their nearest participating store through the Circle K Ontario store locator at www.circlek.com/ca/ontario/store-locator.

Supporting Children Across Ontario

Funds raised through Hero Day will support several of Ontario’s leading children’s hospitals and foundations:

  • SickKids Foundation (Toronto)

  • Children’s Hospital Foundation (London)

  • MacKids (Hamilton)

  • CHEO Foundation (Ottawa)

By collaborating with these institutions, Circle K aims to empower local communities to help improve access to critical care, comfort, and innovation in pediatric medicine.
