Chai Lifeline Canada Launches Year-End Giving Campaigns to Support Families Facing Illness

Matching campaign and 50/50 lottery highlight a season of compassion and community impact across Canada

TORONTO — As the year draws to a close, Chai Lifeline Canada is shining a light on the compassion and community spirit that define its mission to support children and families facing serious illness. Through a series of seasonal initiatives—including the Kash 4 Kids 50/50 Lottery and the Annual Matching (Ambassador) Campaign—the organization is rallying supporters across the country to help multiply hope, one act of kindness at a time.

“Every act of kindness, every meal delivered, every smile shared reminds us that in this community, there’s no ask too big and no favour too small,” said Rachel Zelunka, Director of Development at Chai Lifeline Canada. “Because of our supporters, no family faces illness alone.”

A Year of Compassion in Action

This summer, Chai Lifeline Canada’s donors visited Camp Lifeline, where they witnessed the transformative power of generosity firsthand. The camp provides laughter, friendship, and freedom for children living with serious illness—moments of joy made possible through donor support.

As fall arrived, that spirit of giving continued to grow. Families donated Blue Jays tickets, giving others a chance to enjoy a night of fun and normalcy, while participants in Team Lifeline Canada began training for the Miami Marathon, turning every step into a symbol of strength and hope.

Kash 4 Kids 50/50 Lottery: Launching November 1

The season of giving begins with the Kash 4 Kids 50/50 Lottery, launching November 1, 2025. Participants have the chance to win while directly supporting families across Canada who rely on Chai Lifeline’s vital programs and services.

Proceeds from the lottery fund initiatives such as hospital visits, meal delivery programs, mental health support, and family respite care—all designed to help families find comfort and connection during difficult times.

Matching Campaign: Double the Impact, Double the Love

From November 18 to 19, Chai Lifeline Canada will hold its Annual Matching (Ambassador) Campaign, a powerful 48-hour event where every donation is doubled. The campaign unites Chai Lifeline’s nationwide network of supporters, volunteers, and ambassadors, amplifying the impact of every dollar raised.

“This campaign reminds us that when we come together, we don’t just change lives—we multiply hope,” said Zelunka.

Toy Drive Returns in December

Closing out the year, Chai Lifeline’s annual Toy Drive will once again deliver comfort and joy to children spending the holidays in hospitals or at home while receiving treatment. From toys and games to care packages, each donation helps lift spirits and remind families that they’re never alone.

Compassion That Multiplies

With every initiative—whether it’s a marathon run, a raffle ticket, or a toy donation—Chai Lifeline Canada continues to embody its message of unity and kindness. The organization’s efforts provide tangible, ongoing support to families coping with medical crises across the country.

“Because of you, compassion continues to shine,” Zelunka added. “Every gift, every gesture makes a difference.”
