Prime Minister Carney speaks with President Zelenskyy to discuss ongoing peace talks and Canada’s role in supporting Ukraine’s negotiations.

Ottawa – Prime Minister Mark Carney spoke Tuesday with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, reiterating Canada’s unwavering support for Ukraine as international peace efforts enter a critical phase.

According to the Prime Minister’s Office, the two leaders discussed the latest developments in ongoing peace negotiations, acknowledging the central role of the United States in convening and facilitating the diplomatic process. Prime Minister Carney emphasized that Ukraine must remain at the centre of any negotiation framework and that sustained international pressure on Russia is essential to advancing a just and durable peace.
