Prime Minister Carney Extends Greetings for the Mid-Autumn Festival

Ottawa — Prime Minister Mark Carney has issued a statement marking the Mid-Autumn Festival, a cherished occasion celebrated by Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Vietnamese, and other Asian communities across Canada and around the world.
Also known as the Moon Festival or Mooncake Festival, the holiday is a time for families to gather under the full autumn moon, share festive foods, and express gratitude for the harvest and for loved ones.
Tonight, Asian-Canadian communities across the country will celebrate the Mid-Autumn festival.

In his message, Prime Minister Carney highlighted the enduring importance of these traditions and their role in strengthening Canada’s cultural fabric:

The Prime Minister extended warm wishes to all those observing the festival, saying,
