Canada Shore to Stream Globally on Paramount+ Beginning January 22

Alongside the global release news, Paramount+ unveiled the official key art and promo trailer for the 10-episode first season. The trailer features all 10 cast members and an unmistakably Canadian touch — a moose — set to the theme song “Big Boom” by Canadian dance-pop artist Rêve.

A Canadian Take on a Global Reality Franchise

Filmed last summer in Kelowna, Canada Shore brings together 10 bold, unapologetic singles from across the country for a season defined by nightlife, relationships, and high-energy drama. Much like the original Jersey Shore, the Canadian edition blends party culture with evolving friendships, conflicts, and moments of unexpected emotional connection.

“This is Canada like you’ve never seen it before,” said Katrina Kowalski, Head of Content, Direct to Consumer, Paramount (Canada). “The cast and stories in Canada Shore have heart, but they are also loud and unapologetic. The stereotype of the nice, polite Canadian is about to be shattered.”

The series features 10 cast members representing regions from coast to coast:

• Emmett (25) – Vancouver, British Columbia

• Emmy (21) – Fredericton, New Brunswick

• Ethan (23) – Newmarket, Ontario

• Isaiah (26) – Calgary, Alberta

• Keyaira (23) – Halifax, Nova Scotia

• Lila (20) – Toronto, Ontario

• Ryleigh (25) – Bridgewater, Nova Scotia

Individual cast bio packs were also released this week, offering viewers a deeper look at the personalities set to define the season.

Expanding the Shore Universe

Canada Shore marks the first Canadian edition of MTV’s internationally successful Shore format, which has now spawned 18 global spin-offs, including Aussie Shore and Frenchie Shore. The original Jersey Shore became a cultural phenomenon and helped launch the careers of reality TV stars such as Snooki and Pauly D.

In Canada, Paramount+ is the streaming home for the entire Shore catalogue, including Jersey Shore, Jersey Shore Family Vacation, Aussie Shore, Acapulco Shore, and additional franchise titles rolling out throughout January.

Fans can also sample the first episode of Canada Shore for free beginning January 22 on Pluto TV, where a dedicated MTV Jersey Shore channel is currently streaming classic episodes around the clock.

Production and Availability

Canada Shore is produced by Insight Productions, a Blue Ant Studios company, and is showrun by Erin Brock. The full season will stream exclusively on Paramount+ starting January 22, with new audiences worldwide now able to join the Canadian take on the iconic reality franchise.
