Canada Basketball Launches Unify+: A Game-Changing Digital Fan Platform Built with KDA3

TORONTO  — In a bold move to redefine the way fans engage with the sport, Canada Basketball has launched Unify+, a cutting-edge digital membership platform designed to bring Canadian basketball fans closer to the game than ever before. Built in partnership with KDA3 and powered by advanced blockchain infrastructure, Unify+ provides exclusive access to merchandise, ticketing, training content, and community recognition—all without requiring crypto wallets or tech expertise.

A First-of-Its-Kind Fan Experience in Canadian Sports

Unify+ marks a major milestone as the first digital membership platform of its kind launched by a Canadian National Sports Organization. The platform was soft-launched on August 4 during the 15U National Championships, giving early users access to real-time score tracking, provincial team progress, and exclusive contests. Fans who joined were automatically entered to win tickets to Homecoming Night powered by Unify+—Canada Basketball’s showcase event happening August 13 at GLOBL JAM.

“Unify+ was created specifically for a community of passionate Canadian basketball fans,” said Michael Bartlett, President & CEO of Canada Basketball. “We’re incredibly proud to have partnered with KDA3 to create this new environment for our audience to connect with and follow our players and national teams.”

What Fans Can Unlock with Unify+

Unify+ members receive access to a wide range of fan-first features:

  • Founding member status and rewards

  • Customizable Canada Basketball jerseys

  • Early access to merchandise and tickets

  • Recognition for content sharing, discussions, and team support

  • No crypto required—just sign up and engage

These rewards aim to make fans active participants in shaping the future of basketball culture in Canada.

“This isn’t just another tech partnership—it’s about rewriting the rules of how fans and athletes experience sport,” said Christian Magsisi, Founder & CEO of KDA3. “We’re putting power back in the hands of the community.”

Built for Community, Powered by Web3

The platform is powered by Berachain, a next-generation blockchain using a Proof of Liquidity mechanism, and supported by Frequency, a user-friendly Web3 consumer gateway. While the technology behind the scenes is sophisticated, Unify+ is designed for mass adoption, with no crypto or blockchain knowledge required to participate.

Supporting Canadian Talent On and Off the Court

Beyond fan engagement, Unify+ will become a hub for athlete development, with Canada Basketball’s high-performance coaches contributing training content and standardized programs for officials and coaches. The platform also serves as a digital launchpad to spotlight emerging talent nationwide.

Homecoming Night at GLOBL JAM

To celebrate the full rollout, Canada Basketball and Unify+ will host Homecoming Night on August 13, featuring appearances by Canadian NBA stars Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, RJ Barrett, Dillon Brooks, Lu Dort, and Andrew Nembhard, along with Olympians Shay Colley, Yvonne Ejim, Sami Hill, and Syla Swords. (Athlete appearances subject to change.)
