Campfire Circle’s 2025 Paddle Project Blends Art, Compassion, and Community Spirit

Over 100 unique paddles up for auction to support kids with cancer and serious illness

TORONTO — Art and impact come together once again as Campfire Circle launches its annual Paddle Project, presented by BMO, featuring more than 100 one-of-a-kind canoe paddles reimagined as stunning works of art by Canadian musicians, athletes, designers, and creators.

Running October 9 to November 7, 2025, the online auction raises vital funds to support children with cancer or serious illness and their families through Campfire Circle’s year-round hospital, community, and overnight camp programs.

This year’s collection celebrates Canada’s creative and compassionate spirit, with new paddle designs from icons such as the late Gordon Lightfoot, Mike Myers, Max Domi, and Kevin Drew of Broken Social Scene, along with paddles contributed by the Toronto Maple Leafs, Toronto Raptors, Toronto Argonauts, and Toronto FC.

“We’re deeply grateful to the Canadian artists, athletes, and community partners who lend their voices and talents to the Paddle Project,” said Alex Robertson, CEO of Campfire Circle. “Their involvement empowers us to foster resilience, well-being, and lifelong connections for children with serious illnesses and their families by providing kids with joyful camp experiences.”

The 2025 Paddle Project lineup also includes contributions from beloved creators such as Sarah McLachlan, Jann Arden, Seth Rogen & Evan Goldberg, Jay Baruchel, Gerry Dee, Caitlin Cronenberg, Ali Budd, the Beckerman Twins, and Indigenous artist Patrick Hunter, alongside acclaimed visual artists Charles Pachter, Briony Douglas, Anthony Ricciardi, Rob Prior, and The Crazy Plate Lady.

Each paddle is a symbol of hope and creativity, representing the collective effort to help children reclaim moments of joy and connection during their toughest battles.

Where to See and Bid

The paddles will be showcased during Campfire Circle’s Bonfire Bash, presented by GFL Environmental Inc., on November 5, 2025, at Toronto’s Automotive Centre on the Exhibition Grounds. Online bidding will close on November 7 at 1 p.m. EST.
