Brampton Steelheads Acquire Overage Forward Chase Lefebvre from Peterborough Petes

BRAMPTON, ON – The Brampton Steelheads have bolstered their roster with the acquisition of overage forward Chase Lefebvre from the Peterborough Petes. In return, the Steelheads traded a conditional 11th-round pick in the 2028 OHL Priority Selection.

Lefebvre, a 6’3” winger, brings significant experience to the Steelheads lineup. Originally drafted by the Petes in the 15th round (#295 overall) of the 2020 OHL Priority Selection, he has played three seasons in the Ontario Hockey League, earning a reputation as a dependable two-way player. Lefebvre was a key part of the Petes’ OHL Championship-winning team during the 2022-23 season.

In 129 career OHL games, Lefebvre has recorded 55 points, including 21 goals and 34 assists. This season, the winger has already tallied nine points (two goals, seven assists) in 13 games, showcasing his ability to contribute offensively.

The Steelheads, playing their first season in Brampton at the CAA Centre, aim to leverage Lefebvre’s championship experience and on-ice presence as they continue to build a competitive team.

The acquisition underscores Brampton’s commitment to strengthening their roster while maintaining a balance of veteran leadership and developing talent. Lefebvre is expected to make his debut in the Steelheads’ upcoming games, adding depth and skill to their forward group.

Fans can look forward to seeing Lefebvre in action as the Steelheads continue their OHL campaign.
