Boston Pizza Launches ‘Pizza Gravy,’ Giving Holiday Meals a Bold New Twist

Boston Pizza Pizza Gravy offers Canadians a bold new twist on traditional holiday meals.

TORONTO — Boston Pizza is shaking up the holiday dinner table with a new limited-edition creation designed to revive festive meals across Canada: Pizza Gravy, a savoury fusion of classic gravy and Boston Pizza’s signature pizza sauce.

The new product, launching November 27 at pizzagravy.ca, arrives just as new survey data shows Canadians are craving something different from traditional holiday food.

According to a national survey conducted by The Harris Poll Canada, 67% of Canadians say gravy is the real star of the holiday meal, yet three in five want fresh flavours to break up the seasonal sameness. Boston Pizza believes Pizza Gravy is the answer — a comforting yet unexpected hybrid designed to spark conversation and bring a fun twist to winter menus.

“We know Canadians love their gravy, but they love pizza even more,” said Niels van Oyen, Director of Marketing at Boston Pizza International. “So we thought, why not give them both? Pizza Gravy takes the best of our pizza sauce and blends it with classic gravy for a bold, flavourful upgrade.”

Each jar of Pizza Gravy retails for $9.99, plus tax and shipping. A portion of proceeds will support Food Banks Canada, adding charitable impact to this seasonal novelty.

A New Holiday Staple?

Boston Pizza describes Pizza Gravy as “the Holi-Break Canadians didn’t know they needed,” perfect for topping turkey, dipping leftovers or transforming familiar dishes. Survey trends suggest Canadians may be ready for such reinvention, as holiday food fatigue continues to grow.

The survey, conducted November 11 among 1,360 Canadian adults planning to take part in a holiday meal, is considered accurate to within ±2.7%, 19 times out of 20.
