Blue Jays Recall Addison Barger, Designate Daniel Vogelbach for Assignment

The Toronto Blue Jays have made notable roster moves ahead of tonight’s series opener against the Cleveland Guardians. Utility player Addison Barger has been recalled from Triple-A and will be active for the game. In a corresponding move, designated hitter Daniel Vogelbach has been designated for assignment, creating room for Barger on the roster.

Barger’s versatility and strong performance in the minors are expected to bring a fresh dynamic to the Blue Jays as they navigate the season. Vogelbach, on the other hand, has struggled this season, leading to his designation. The team now has seven days to trade, release, or outright Vogelbach to the minors if he clears waivers.
