Blue Jays Blast Five Homers to Beat Mariners 13–4 in ALCS Game 3

Toronto cuts series deficit to 2–1 after explosive night at T-Mobile Park

SEATTLE — The Toronto Blue Jays came alive in Game 3 of the American League Championship Series, smashing five home runs en route to a dominant 13–4 win over the Seattle Mariners at T-Mobile Park. The victory keeps Toronto’s championship hopes alive, trimming Seattle’s series lead to 2–1.

The Mariners jumped ahead early when Julio Rodríguez launched a two-run homer off Shane Bieber in the first inning. But Toronto responded with a thunderous third inning, turning the game around for good. Andrés Giménez evened the score with a two-run shot, Nathan Lukes scored on a wild pitch to take the lead, and Daulton Varsho followed with a two-run double to make it 5–2.

The Blue Jays’ offence didn’t slow down. George Springer added a solo home run in the fourth, and Guerrero went deep again in the fifth to extend the lead. By the sixth, the game was out of reach.

After a rocky first inning, Shane Bieber settled in to pitch six strong frames, striking out eight while allowing just two runs. Seattle starter George Kirby lasted only four innings, giving up eight runs on eight hits.

With the win, Toronto reminded the baseball world why its lineup remains one of the most dangerous in the league. The Blue Jays will look to even the series in Game 4, with Max Scherzer expected to start opposite Louis Castillo for the Mariners.
