Blood in the Snow Film Festival Celebrates 13 Years of Thrills and Chills

Toronto, ON – The Blood in the Snow Film Festival (BITS) is returning for its 13th year, bringing another thrilling lineup of Canadian genre films to Toronto. Running from November 18th to 23rd at the Isabel Bader Theatre, the festival promises an array of horror, action, comedy, sci-fi, and thriller films, ensuring that audiences will be captivated.

Kicking off the event is Lowell Dean’s action horror feature Dark Match, starring wrestling icon Chris Jericho, followed by the world premiere of Pins and Needles and the Fantasia Best First Feature Award-winning Self Driver. The festival will close with the Toronto premiere of the comedy horror film Scared Sh*tless, featuring Mark McKinney from Kids in the Hall. Other highlights include the horror anthology Creepy Bits and Invited, a Zoom-based horror from returning BITS filmmaker Navin Ramaswaran (Poor Agnes).

Festival founder Kelly Michael Stewart is excited about this year’s lineup, which showcases a carefully curated selection of eight feature films that all the programmers agreed upon. The festival will also include five feature-length short film programs, with special attention to the comedy horror program Funny Frights and the opening night’s Dark Visions program.

Tickets for in-person screenings at the Isabel Bader Theatre are now on sale.
