Baskin-Robbins Launches Fundraiser to Support Canadian Youth in Back-to-School Season
Toronto – Baskin-Robbins is helping make the back-to-school season a bit sweeter this year with a new fundraiser. Throughout September, the ice cream chain will donate $1 from every Non-Dairy Real Fruit Smoothie sold to BGC Canada (formerly Boys and Girls Clubs of Canada), supporting youth programs nationwide.
The campaign, which is being held across all 116 Baskin-Robbins locations in Canada, is part of the company’s ongoing commitment to helping communities. Baskin-Robbins aims to raise $30,000 through the promotion, further contributing to the $130,000 it has raised for BGC Canada since 2017.
Natalie Joseph, spokesperson for Baskin-Robbins Canada, emphasized the importance of this initiative. “A refreshing smoothie is a treat any time of the year,” she said. “But this is particularly true this September. As we all adjust to a new school year, it’s nice to start things off with a treat for our heroic children while helping to fund BGC programs that are accessible to all children.”
A Sweet Partnership
BGC Canada, which provides after-school and extracurricular programming for youth across the country, has expressed its gratitude for the continued partnership with Baskin-Robbins.
“From successful fundraising campaigns to generous in-kind donations, Baskin-Robbins Canada continues to show its commitment to BGC Clubs and the families and communities we serve across the country,” said Brooke Duval, Senior Director of Partnerships & Philanthropy at BGC Canada. “Nothing goes together better than kids and frozen treats, and we are thrilled at this sweet opportunity from Baskin-Robbins.”
Non-Dairy Smoothies and Scholarship Program
The new Non-Dairy Real Fruit Smoothies, available in Strawberry and Mango flavors, are also accessible through major food delivery apps. Baskin-Robbins’ promotion isn’t just about raising funds, but also about promoting healthier, plant-based treat options.
Earlier this month, Baskin-Robbins and BGC Canada announced the recipients of their first-ever joint scholarship program, awarding four Canadian students $4,000 each to support their post-secondary education. This scholarship program marks another step in the company’s commitment to helping youth succeed both academically and socially.
