Balzac’s Launches Canada’s Cup Iced Maple Latte as Summer Tribute to Homegrown Flavour
Limited-edition coast-to-coast creation celebrates Canadian ingredients and craftsmanship
TORONTO — Balzac’s Coffee Roasters is kicking off summer with a bold new brew: the Canada’s Cup Iced Maple Latte — a flavour-packed, limited-edition drink inspired by the taste and spirit of Canada.
Available starting today at Balzac’s 16 café locations across Ontario, the drink is made with the company’s Fair Trade, organic espresso roasted in Ontario and blended with water from the superior side of Lake Superior. It’s finished with Canadian whipped cream, Ontario maple syrup, and a pinch of Vancouver Island sea salt — all served in a recycled aluminum keepsake cup made in Ontario and paired with a Canadian softwood stir stick.
“Inspired by our love for all things maple and the growing need to buy homegrown goods, the Canada’s Cup Iced Maple Latte captures the essence of our home and native land in every sip,” said Arlene Dickinson, owner of Balzac’s parent company, District Ventures Capital.
The iced 16oz drink delivers more than just taste. It comes in a custom-engraved, made-in-Ontario cup that doubles as a reusable keepsake — a nod to the company’s sustainable ethos and Canadian-made pride.
Founded in 1993 and named after French literary giant Honoré de Balzac, the coffee company has become known for its artistic cafés and commitment to sustainably sourced coffee. The new launch is a blend of national pride, environmental awareness, and premium craft — or as Balzac’s puts it, a drink “as Canadian as coffee gets.”
