A&W Canada and Labatt Breweries Introduce Non-Alcoholic Beer Option in Ontario Locations

Toronto, ON – In a groundbreaking partnership, A&W Canada has teamed up with Labatt Breweries of Canada to introduce Budweiser Zero, a non-alcoholic beer, to its menu at select Ontario locations. This initiative makes A&W the largest quick-service restaurant chain in Canada to offer a non-alcoholic beer option, reflecting the rising demand for sober-curious choices among consumers.

Starting this baseball season, Ontarians can enjoy the new Baseball Buds Combo, featuring a Buddy Burger, fries, and a can of Budweiser Zero for $9.99 plus tax. Alternatively, customers can add Budweiser Zero to any combo for an additional $2. Budweiser Zero is a zero-alcohol, 50-calorie version of the popular Budweiser beer, providing a refreshing beverage choice without the alcohol.

“I’m excited to have A&W be part of the response to the growing interest in non-alcoholic beers,” said Amanda Wang, Director of Marketing at A&W. “You could say we’ve been pioneers since 1919 with our A&W Root Beer.”

Andrew Oosterhuis, Marketing Vice President at Labatt, echoed the sentiment: “Beer and burgers are a summer favourite, so collaborating with one of Canada’s beloved burger chains to bring the Budweiser brand – via our non-alcoholic product – to Ontarians in an accessible way is an exciting partnership.”

This initiative aligns with both companies’ roles as official partners of the Toronto Blue Jays, enhancing the baseball season experience for fans looking for non-alcoholic options. The pilot program is available at participating A&W locations across Ontario for a limited time.

For those eager to try the new offering, head to your nearest A&W and enjoy the exclusive Baseball Buds Combo. Don’t miss out on this limited-time opportunity to experience the refreshing taste of Budweiser Zero with your favorite A&W burger.
