Applications Open for Ontario Seniors Community Grant Program
TORONTO — The Ontario government has officially opened applications for the 2025-26 Ontario Seniors Community Grant Program. This initiative supports community groups and not-for-profit organizations in delivering programs aimed at enhancing the well-being of Ontarians aged 55 and older.
“Our government is committed to improving the well-being of Ontario’s seniors by providing learning opportunities and social and physical activities in their communities,” said Raymond Cho, Minister for Seniors and Accessibility.
The program, which offers grants ranging from $1,000 to $25,000, funds projects that promote independence, safety, financial security, and community engagement among seniors.
The Seniors Community Grant Program supports local community groups and not-for-profit organizations to deliver programs and learning opportunities for Ontarians aged 55+.
Applications are now open until January 16, 2025.

For the upcoming cycle, the program will focus on three priority areas:
- Active and Connected Communities: Supporting initiatives such as weekly physical activities and social gatherings to help seniors stay engaged.
- Digital Inclusion: Encouraging the development of technology and digital solutions that foster social connections and access to services for older adults.
- Health Promotion: Providing seniors with information and supports to maintain their health and well-being.
Organizations interested in applying can submit their proposals through Transfer Payment Ontario until January 16, 2025.
Since its launch in 2018, the Seniors Community Grant Program has provided over $34 million to more than 1,800 projects, helping older adults stay socially and physically active while fostering stronger community ties.
