Anne Murray to Receive Lifetime Achievement Award at The 54th Annual JUNO Awards
TORONTO – The Canadian Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences (CARAS) and CBC have unveiled new details for The 54th Annual JUNO Awards, set to take place in Halifax, Nova Scotia. Among the major highlights, legendary Canadian artist Anne Murray will receive the Lifetime Achievement Award, marking a historic moment as the first artist recipient of the honour. The award, presented by the National Arts Centre, has not been given since Pierre Juneau, the JUNO Awards’ namesake, received it in 1989.
The JUNO Awards, hosted by Michael Bublé, promise an electrifying night with new performers added to the lineup. Elisapie, Jonita Gandhi, Maestro Fresh Wes, and Roxane Bruneau will take the stage in a special performance alongside Bublé. British Columbia-based artists bbno$, Peach Pit, Chani Nattan, Inderpal Moga, and Jazzy B with GMINXR will also deliver high-energy performances for their hometown crowd.
Sum 41’s highly anticipated induction into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame, presented by TD Bank Group, will be introduced by Joel and Benji Madden of Good Charlotte. Five-time JUNO Award winner Jessie Reyez will present Boi-1da with the International Achievement Award, while The Beaches, who were performers and winners at the 2024 JUNOS, will announce the TikTok JUNO Fan Choice winner.
The event’s roster of presenters also includes CBC’s Allan Hawco from the hit series Saint-Pierre and Anna Lambe from the acclaimed comedy North of North. Host Michael Bublé will take on a dual role, also presenting the 20th anniversary edition of the MusiCounts Teacher of the Year Award, presented by Anthem Entertainment.
