TORONTO — The Aga Khan Museum‘s highly anticipated exhibition “Light: Visionary Perspectives” opens to the public tomorrow, offering an immersive experience that promises to captivate visitors of all ages. This exhibition marks a significant milestone as the Museum celebrates its 10th anniversary.

In a special gesture for this opening weekend, AGO members will enjoy free access to the Aga Khan Museum. The celebration coincides with Imamat Day, commemorating the 67th anniversary of His Highness Prince Karim Aga Khan IV’s accession as the 49th hereditary Imam of the Ismaili Muslims.

The exhibition features a diverse array of works that explore the concept and impact of light. Highlights include pieces from Canadian Indigenous artist Tannis Nielson and Venice Biennale-celebrated Korean artist Kimsooja. Each artwork offers a unique perspective on the omnipresence and significance of light in our lives.

“Light: Visionary Perspectives” not only showcases the Museum’s dedication to cultural exchange and artistic innovation but also invites the public to reflect on the multifaceted nature of light through various artistic interpretations.

The Aga Khan Museum, located at 77 Wynford Drive, will be open from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. this weekend. Visitors are encouraged to take advantage of this opportunity to explore the enlightening exhibition and celebrate a decade of the Museum’s contributions to the arts and culture in Toronto.
